Bond Surety Insurance
Bond protection
Bond insurance, also known as financial guaranty insurance, protects bond issuers in the event of a bondholder’s “default” or failed payment by guaranteeing repayment of principal and sometimes interest. This means your credit score will be protected, no matter the bondholder.
We have three different types of Bond Surety Insurance:
- Bid Bond: If a bond issuer refuses to enter a contract with a work provider/bondholder, Orbit will help the potential bondholder by providing financial support covering the difference between the amount of the tender and the amount of the contract, up to the amount specified in the bond.
- Engagement Letter: Complement to Bid Bond insurance, Orbit will help put together and issue an Engagement letter which is a written agreement that describes the business relationship to be entered into by a client and a company.
- Performance bond: A performance bond is issued by Orbit to one party of a contract as a guarantee against the failure of the other party to meet the obligations of the contract.
